Gardaí at Navan are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the N2 between Ashbourne and Slane at Tuiterath, Balrath County Meath this morning Sunday 12th April 2015 at approximately 1.30am.
A male pedestrian was fatally injured when he was struck by a car. He was pronounced dead at scene and his body has been removed to Navan Mortuary. A post mortem is to be arranged.
The N2 is currently closed between Curtis' Cross and Rathdrinagh Cross to facilitate Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Diversions are in place.
