Cannabis plants seizure in Edenderry, Offaly on the 8 & 9/4/15

As part of an ongoing operation into the illegal sale and supply of controlled drugs in the County Offaly area Gardaí from Edenderry carried out the planned search of a premises at Clonmore, Edenderry on 8th April 2015 at approximately 10.30pm and seized cannabis plants with an estimated value of €250,000, pending analysis.

On the 9th April 2015 Edenderry Gardaí assisted by Gardaí from the Tullamore District Drugs Unit stopped and searched a vehicle close to Tullamore and seized a quantity of cannabis plants.


In a follow up search of a premises at Killy, Tullamore Gardaí seized more cannabis plants with an estimated value of €160,000.

Two men, aged 26 and 30 years, were arrested and are currently detained at Tullamore Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
