Fatal road traffic collision on the Greenhills Road, Dublin on the 28/7/13

Gardai in Crumlin are investigating a two vehicle fatal road traffic collision between a car and a bus that occurred on the Greenhills Rd, Walkinstown at approximately 5pm this evening.

A 17 year old girl, who was the front seat passenger in the car, was fatally injured and brought to Tallaght Hospital where she was pronounced dead. The 19 year old male driver was also taken to Tallaght Hospital and is described as being in a serious condition. The driver and one passenger from the bus were taken to St. James’s Hospital with injuries described as minor.  

This stretch of road is currently closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and diversions are in place.
