Witness appeal - Road traffic collision in Co. Longford on the 14/2/13

Gardai at Longford are appealing for information following a serious injury road traffic collision on the 14th February 2013.

At approximately 1320 hours 3 adults and 4 children were injured when the motor car they were travelling in left the road and collided with a wall on the R392 at Terlicken, Ballymahon. They were taken by ambulance to Mullingar Hospital.

A two year old boy travelling in the car was seriously injured and has since been removed to Temple St. Hospital. A female passenger, aged in her 30s, remains in Mullingar Hospital with non life threatening injuries. All of the other passengers have since been discharged.

The scene was examined by Garda forensic collision investigators and Gardai are appealing for witnesses.

Gardai are particularly appealing to anybody travelling on the R392 between Ballymahon and Lanesborough on Thursday 14th February between 1300 hours and 1345 hours to contact them.
