Gardai in Roscommon are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred at Carrowphadeen, Lecarrow, Roscommon at approximately 4.55pm on the 12th February 2013.
The female driver (83yrs) and sole occupant was seriously injured when the car she was driving collided with a wall. She was taken by ambulance to Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe where she was later pronounced dead.
The road was closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and it was reopened at 9pm on the 12th Feb.
