Gardai are appealing for witnesses following a single vehicle fatal collision in Co. Tipperary on the 24th December 2013.
The incident occurred shortly after 4pm on the M8 motorway, (northbound) near Junction 7 Cahir, when a car left the motorway before colliding with a ditch. The driver of the car, a male aged in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene. A male passenger aged in his 20s was taken by Ambulance to Clonmel Hospital (his injuries are not thought to be life threatening).
The road is closed, forensic collision investigators have been notified to attend the scene and diversions are in place.
