Gardai in Castleblaney are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the Castleblaney to Dundalk Road at Magherakill at approximately 5.15am on the 30/07/12.
A male in his late teens was fatally injured when the car he was driving lost control on a bend. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The female passenger in her late teens was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda with injuries described as not life threatening.
This stretch of road is currently closed pending completion of an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
