The incident happened at the Ard Na Greine estate in the town.
Gardai Gurranabraher Garda Station are investigating the death of a 30 year old man at a house in Blarney, Co. Cork at about 9 p.m. on the 26th of September 2009. The incident happened at the Ard Na Greine estate in the town. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 17 year old male was arrested at the scene and is detained at Gurranabtaher Garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
The area is scealed off for forensic technical examination and a post mortem will be carried out on the dead man today by Dr. Margaret Bolster.
Garda would like anyone who may have been in the Ard Na Greine area between 8pm and 9pm last evening, and heard or saw anything unusual to contact Gurranabraher Garda Station on 021 4946200.
