Graduation Ceremony - Garda College, Templemore on the 2thJuly 2009

Mr. Dermot Aherne, T.D., presented Certificates to 271 Gardaí at the Graduation Ceremony.

 

The Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, Mr. Dermot Aherne, T.D., presented Certificates to 271 Gardaí (79 Females and 192 Males) at a Graduation Ceremony at the Garda College, Templemore today, the 24/7/09.

 

The COMMISSIONER’S MEDAL – awarded to the Student achieving the highest aggregate marks in academic subjects – was won by Garda James Clarke, a native of Belfast, Co. Down and who will be stationed at Carrickmacross Garda Station

 

The GARY SHEEHAN MEMORIAL MEDAL - commemorating a Recruit Garda who was killed on duty in Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim, in December, 1983 is awarded to the best all-round  - Student Garda Raymond Moloney a native of Martinstown, Kilmallock, Co. Limerick.  Garda Moloney will be attached to Terenure Garda Station.

 

THE TEMPLEMORE TOWN COUNCIL MEDAL, for outstanding achievement and appreciation in the area of Social Science Studies, was presented to Garda Kieran Murphy, a native of Carrigrohane Rd, Cork City, and who will be stationed at Bandon Garda Station.
