Gardai at Moneygall, Co. Offaly are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Clashagad, Dunkerrin, Co. Offaly shortly after 12.00am this morning - Friday 10th July 2009.
A 34 year old male was injured in the incident after the car in which he was the sole occupant collided with a cow.
He was removed to Nenagh General Hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after 2am.
There are diversions in place as the main N7 is closed between Roscrea and Dunkerrin village.
