The male in his late 30's was released from Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 and charged in Clondalkin Garda Station this evening, the 4/7/09. He will remain in Clondalkin Garda Station and appear on Monday morning, the 6/7/09 at 10.30 a.m. before Blanchardstown District Court.

Gardai have seized drugs with an estimated value of €252,000, subject to analysis, after stopping a car on the Naas Road yesterday evening the 03.07.09.
Cannabis herb with an estimated street value of €180,000, subject to analysis, was seized when a car was stopped on the Naas Road near Rathcoole. A male in his late 30’s was arrested at scene and is currently being detained at Clondalkin Garda Station under Section 2 of The Criminal Justice ( Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
In a follow up search in Drogheda, Co Louth, further cannabis herb, with an estimated street value of €72,000, subject to analysis, was seized.
