Gardai at Store Street Garda Station are renewing their appeal for witnesses to an incident on Dublin's Kings Inn Street on the 20th August 2008.

 

Gardai at Store Street Garda Station are renewing their appeal for witness to an incident on Dublin's Kings Inn Street at approximately 1.20pm on 20th August 2008 (previous press release below refers). 

Gardai are specifically interested in speaking to a group of people who flagged down an unmarked Garda car on Kings Inn Street immediately following the incident. 

Anyone who may have witnessed anything unusual in the area or have any information is asked to contact the incident room at Store Street Garda Station on 01-6668089

Gardai at Store Street Garda Station are again seeking assistance from the public following an incident on Dublin's Kings Inn Street at approximately 1.20pm on the 20th August 2008. (See release below).

Gardai at Store Street Garda Station seeking assistance from the public following an incident on Dublin's Kings Inn Street at approximately 1.20pm on the 20th August 2008. 

A number of men approached a white Ford Transit security van which was parked at the time.  They threatened two security men with knives and forced into them into the  rear of the van.  The security men were carrying out collections from Dublin Corporation Parking Meter machines in the King's Inn Street area. 

One of the raiders is described as being of stocky build, approximately 5'8" and spoke with a Dublin accent.  The van was located a short time later at Dominick Street.  

The two security employees were uninjured.  A number of cash boxes were removed from the van in the course of the robbery. 

Anyone who may have witnessed anything unususal in the area or have any information is asked to contact the incident room at Store Street Garda Station on 01-6668089. 

In addition Gardai are appealing for business people or people working in financial institutions who may have been approached by anyone seeking to change an unusually large number of coins to contact the number above.
