Gardai at Westport, Co Mayo are investigating a Fatal Road Traffic Collision which occurred at Kilmeena (N59) Mayo.
Gardai at Westport, Co Mayo are investigating a Fatal Road Traffic Collision which occurred at Kilmeena (N59) which is the main Westport to Newport Road.
A 4x4 vehicle and a car were in collision at approx 8.45pm this evening (25/7/08).
A female passenger in the car was fatally injured.The drivers of both vehicles were taken to Castlebar General Hospital where they are being treated for their injuries.
The road remains closed pending a Garda investigation. Diversions are in place, however the Gardai wish to advise drivers of heavy goods vehicles to divert via Castlebar.
