Update - Stabbing incident Co. Tipperary 27th December 2013

A male aged in his 30s is expected to appear before a sitting of Bray District Court tomorrow morning (28th December 2013) charged in connection with this investigation.

Gardai are appealing for information following a stabbing incident in Thurles on the 27th December 2013.

The incident occurred at the entrance road to Móin Ns Cíbe (Monakeeba), Thurles, in the early hours of this morning (27/12/2013). A 22-year-old male who sustained stab wounds during the incident was taken by ambulance to Clonmel Hospital. (His condition is described as stable) The scene is preserved for a technical and forensic examination. A knife was recovered near to the scene by Gardai during follow up searches.

A male aged in his 30s has been arrested and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at Thurles Garda Station.
