Annual Mass at Dardistown Cemetery – 1st July 2012 at 3.00p.m
From 1 p.m onwards the following restrictions will be in place.
No traffic will be allowed travel in a westerly direction along Collinstown Lane.
Northbound traffic from Santry Village will be prevented from turning left from Swords Road onto Collinstown Lane.
Traffic coming inbound from the Airport Roundabout will not be permitted to turn right from Swords Road to go up Collinstown Lane.
This means that from 1 p.m until the end of the ceremony, traffic on the Swords Road, with the exception of traffic using the car-park at the entrance to the Cemetery, will only be permitted to progress straight through in North / South direction.
Traffic will be allowed travel down Collinstown Lane towards Dardistown but will not be permitted to turn right towards Santry village. A row of barriers will be placed across the junction directing traffic out to the Airport Roundabout and back into Santry village as above or via the M1 Motorway.
A car-park with capacity for 600 cars is provided directly at the roadway entrance up to Dardistown Cemetery itself. This will be clearly signposted. There will be a second entrance for cars on the Swords Road approximately 100 metres from the Cemetery which will provide additional parking space. This entrance will be used when the main car park is full.
Motorists are reminded not to block entrances and to show consideration for other road users and the local community.
