Superintendent Michael Devine, Navan, said “I am asking patrons to be respectful of local residents and their property and not to consume excessive amounts of alcohol (in particular for their own safety).  Persons driving should not drink any alcohol and should exercise extreme care especially when leaving the event as there may be pedestrians on unlit roads.”

Whilst the Slane Castle setting is idyllic, patrons are again reminded of the dangers of the River Boyne. Castle owner Henry Mount Charles, 8th Marquess Conyngham said: “The River is dangerous and should be avoided at all costs”.

Dress appropriately and always be prepared for the Irish weather, bring Wellington boots and suncream. Allow plenty of time for concert entry procedures, ticket checks and searches. Please note the location of Entry / Exit Gates, Emergency Exits, First Aid Posts and Water Points and keep to lighted exit routes when exiting the Venue. For your own safety please co-operate with stewards and Gardaí and follow any loudspeaker announcements.
