Gardai have seized drugs and arrested one male following an intelligence led operation targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Wicklow area.
On the 2.10.13 at approximately 1pm Gardai from the Wicklow Divisional Drug Unit carried out a planned search of two adjoining houses on Quill Road, Kilmacanogue, Co. Wicklow.
Cannabis plants at various stages of growth were discovered with an estimated street value of up to €90,000 (pending analysis). A male in his early 30’s was arrested at the scene. The male is currently detained at Bray Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
The scene is currently preserved for a technical a examination.
