Seizure of €1.7million worth of Controlled substances on the 23rd May 2013

A man has been arrested and is being detained at Mountjoy Garda Station.

As part of an intelligence led operation Gardai from the North Central Drug unit based at Store Street searched a house on The Strand, Donabate yesterday the 23rd May 2013. During the course of the search Gardai discovered approximately €700,000 of Cannabis herb(subject to analysis) and almost €1m of ectasy (subject to analysis).
 
A male 36 yrs was subsequently arrested and is being detained at Mountjoy Garda station under the provisions of section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 as amended.
