Witness appeal - Fatal Shooting in Cabra, Dublin on the 3/3/13

Gardai investigating the fatal shooting in the Cabra House on Fassaugh Avenue, on the 3/03/13 wish to appeal to the public for their assistance.

Gardai would like to speak to patrons who may have been in the Cabra House on Faussaugh before or at the time of the shooting. In addition they would like to speak to anyone that may have been on Fassaugh Avenue around the time of the shooting and seen anything unusual or suspicious. 
 

Gardai are particularly keen to talk to anyone that may have seen a dark coloured medium sized motorcycle with a driver and a pillion passenger dressed in dark clothing, in and around Fassaugh Avenue at the time of the shooting or driving erratically near Fassaugh Avenue before of after the shooting. The driver of the motorcycle is believed to have waited outside the Cabra House while the gunman entered.

A Press Briefing will take place at Cabra Garda Station at 1.15pm this afternoon (4/3/13) in relation to the fatal shooting in a public house in Cabra last night.

Two masked men entered the pub and fired a number of shots fatally injuring a man in his 20’s. The two men then left the scene on a motorcycle towards the city.  

The body remains at the scene. The Garda Technical Bureau and the State Pathologists Office have been contacted.
