Traffif arrangement for Eric Clapton who is due to play Malahide Castle on the 21/6/08

Road Signage will be visible on all approach routes.

 

Eric Clapton is due to play Malahide Castle tomorrow night, Saturday 21st June, 2008. 

The gates for the concert will open at 5pm and the support act is due to come on stage at 7pm. 

All patrons are requested to use Public Transport and extra DART and Bus Services are being provided. 

Patrons are advised that there is limited car parking available on site at a cost of €10 per car.

Road Signage will be visible on all approach routes. 

There will be no on-road parking in the precincts of Malahide Castle Grounds.

Cars parked illegally will be towed. 

Limited Concert Parking can only be accessed from Main Entrance to Malahide Castle at Back Road, Malahide near Malahide Garden Centre.  

Motorists wishing to use Concert Car Parking should only turn off Malahide Road to Back Road for access to Malahide Castle.

All other routes to Main Entrance will be restricted to residents and access only. 

Traffic travelling from the North should exit the M1 at the Donabate/Skerries exit and take the R132 to swords. 

They should then exit from third roundabout for Malahide on Swords Road and follow concert signage. 

Traffic travelling from the M50 should take the N32 turning left onto Malahide Road and travel towards Malahide where they will follow concert signage and stewarding to concert car parks. 

Taxis will not be allowed onto Back Road and should drop off and pick up their passengers at the assigned Set Down Areas on Dublin Road near the junction with Yellow Walls Road where pedestrians will be admitted to the concert. 

After the concert traffic diversions will be in place for approximately 40 minutes to accommodate concert goers leaving the castle grounds.  

Traffic will be diverted from Dublin Road to Yellow Walls Road to Texas Lane to Bissett's Strand to Strand Street to New Street to Main Street Malahide and vice versa.

Diversion signage will be in place and Gardaí will be on point duty. 

All pedestrian traffic should enter and exit Malahide Castle Grounds from Nugents Gate, Dublin Road, Malahide near Malahide Dart Station, Malahide Village where Dart, Bus and Taxi services will await them.  

The consumption of alcohol in public areas outside Malahide Castle Grounds is prohibited.
