Traffic – Cycle Safety

On this month’s traffic segment, Garda Derek Cloughley was in studio to discuss Cycling.

Cycling is a safe pastime, however there is a sharp increase in cyclist road fatalities.

There is a high risk period ahead with an expected increase in cyclists, returning to school and college.

The need for visibility and adherence to all the rules of the road is vital for safety, as is the need for drivers to pay extra attention to cyclists, as we all share the road.
