The Gardaí at Finglas Garda Station are appealing for information on the whereabouts of missing person Tommy Kennedy. The eighty one year old went missing from his home in Finglas Tuesday the 29th July 2014. The last definite sighting of Tommy was outside his family home at Virginia Park at 9.20pm. He was putting the bins out. Tommy’s grandson arrived home later that evening and it was then the alarm was raised.

The Gardaí assisted by The Civil Defence and local volunteers conducted extensive searches of the Finglas area in the search for Tommy.

On Wednesday the 20th August, Gardaí received a report of a possible sighting of Tommy from a taxi man. He remembers a man, matching Tommy’s description, hailing a taxi on Liam Mellowes Road in the early hours of Wednesday the 30th of July. The taxi brought this man to Meadowbrook in Baldoyle.

Tommy’s family were in studio to appeal for information.  The appeal included CCTV images of Tommy in the days before his disappearance.
