Murder of Paul Quinn on the 20th Oct 2007

14 persons were arrested in this jurisdiction by An Garda Síochána and 9 persons were arrested by the Police Service of Northern Ireland.


From an investigative perspective, the investigation is still an active investigation which is now currently being reviewed by the Serious Crime Review Team and local Detectives to review progress in the case, and to try to identify new avenues of inquiry. Over 700 statements have been obtained by An Garda Síochana and nearly 2000 individual lines of inquiry have been pursued.
We cannot confirm details of any person who may or may not have supplied information to the investigation, however, we can confirm that where any information was provided by any person, that information has been investigated to a finality.


It is the tenth anniversary of the murder of Paul Quinn and An Garda Síochana are issuing a fresh appeal for information, in conjunction with Crimestoppers, and local and national media outlets. RTE Primetime ran  a programme on this murder on the 19th October 2017 and a Crimecall appeal is being conducted in early November 2017.
