Further update - Muder of John Ustic in Skibbereen in 2017

Gardaí in Skibbereen investigating the death of John Ustic in September 2017 have released without charge a man in his 20s arrested in connection with the investigation.

The man was arrested in Co Tipperary on 7th November and was detained at Bandon Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 Criminal Justice Act 1984. A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Gardaí in Skibbereen Co Cork investigating the death of John Ustic in September 2017 have this morning (7/11/17) arrested a 51 year old man in connection with this investigation.
The man was arrested in Co Tipperary. He is currently detained at Bandon Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 – Criminal Justice Act 1984.   Previous Press Release attached for information.    Garda Press Office     Gardaí investigating the death of 51 year old John Ustic and the discovery of his body on the morning of the 25th September 2017 at a house at High St, Skibbereen, Co. Cork have received the results of the post-mortem following its completion this evening.

The post-mortem results have established the male died from injuries resulting from an assault. The death is now being treated as a murder investigation.
