Fatal road traffic collision at Meath Street, Dublin on the 26/10/16

Gardaí are currently at the scene of a Fatal Road Traffic Collision involving a truck and a pedestrian which occurred at Meath Street, Dublin 8 shortly before midday today, 26th October 2016.

A male pedestrian (no age at present) was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the truck has been brought to St James Hospital with minor injuries.
 
The road has been closed for Forensic Collision investigators and diversions are in place. Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact Kevin Street Garda Station on 6669400, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800666111 or any Garda Station.
