Man arrested in connection with investigation into murder of David Douglas

Gardaí have arrested a man, aged in his mid 30’s, in connection with the investigation into the murder of David Douglas, fatally shot on Bridgefoot Street, Dublin 8 on 1st July 2016.

The man was arrested in North County Dublin this afternoon, Tuesday 1st November 2016 and is currently detained at Kilmainham Garda Station under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007.

David Douglas suffered a number of gunshot wounds while standing on Bridgefoot Street. He was approached by a man in possession of a firearm who fired a number of shots, fatally wounding the victim.
