Gardaí at Sligo are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Castlegal, Cliffoney, Co Sligo at approximately 3pm yesterday afternoon (Monday 28th March 2016).
A car collided with a ditch at the above location resulting in the death of the 69 year old male driver (only occupant). The body was removed to Sligo University Hospital where a Post Mortem examination will take place.
A technical and forensic examination of the scene has been completed by Garda forensic collision investigators and the road has since been reopened to traffic.
