Drug seizure and arrest in Limerick on the 24/6/16

Gardaí have seized a quantity of illegal drugs and arrested a woman following an operation in Limerick City on Friday evening 24th June 2016.

Gardaí began a search operation at a house in the Catherdavin area of Limerick at about 8.30 pm. During the course of the search they discovered a quantity of cannabis herb with a street value, subject to analysis, of €20,000. They also seized Xanax tablets with a street value of €9,000.

A woman in her late 20s was arrested at the scene and she is detained at Roxboro Road Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
