Gardaí at Leixlip are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Ladychapel, Maynooth, Co Kildare (R408) at approximately 3.15pm this afternoon (25/7/16).
A 38 year old male was fatally injured when the 4X4 vehicle he was driving collided with a ditch. A female passenger was taken to Naas General Hospital with minor injuries. No other persons were involved.
The road was closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators but has since reopened.
