Gardaí are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the N72 at Longueville, Eden Hill, Mallow, County Cork this morning, Monday 11th July 2016 shortly before at 4.30am.
One man, early 30's, was fatally injured when the car he was driving collided with a truck. He was pronounced dead at scene. His body was taken to Cork University Hospital where a post mortem is to be arranged. He was the sole occupant of this car. No other injuries were reported.
The N72 is closed at Longville to facilitate Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Diversions are in place.
