Arrest - Discovery of firearm and ammunition in South Dublin on the 12/7/16

As part of an operation targeting organised criminal groups in the Crumlin area Detective Gardaí from Sundrive Road Garda Station arrested a man, 24 years, last night, Tuesday 12th July 2016 shortly after 9pm.

Gardaí stopped and searched a car and its occupant close to Old County Road, Dublin 12 and discovered a firearm and ammunition. The man was arrested at scene. He is currently detained at Sundrive Road Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939 as amended.
