Heroin value €3,000 and firearm seizure Dublin 8 on the 2nd January 2016

As part of an ongoing operation into the sale and supply of controlled substances in the Kevin St area, Gardai from Kevin St and Kilmainham searched two dwellings at Eugene Street. Dublin 8.

During the course of the search of these dwellings, Gardai discovered heroin(subject to analysis) with a street value of €3,000, a handgun and ammunition(subject to balistic examination). Four people(2 males both aged 23 yrs) and 2 females(aged 20 and27 years) were arrested and are being detained at Kevin St and Kilmainham Garda stations under the provisions of section 30 Offences Against the State Act 1939 as amended.
