Two men charged - with robbery in Waterville, Kerry on the 6/8/16

Gardaí have charged two men, 32 and 46 years, in connection with an investigation into a robbery that occurred at a post office in Waterville, Co Kerry on Wednesday 3rd August 2016.

The men are due to appear before a special sitting of Killarney District Court this evening, Saturday 6th August 2016 at 7.15pm. They remain in Garda custody.
The robbery occurred at approximately 11am, Wednesday 3rd August 2016. A quantity of cash was stolen from the post office during the robbery. Three men involved in the incident left the Waterville area in a small blue car in the direction of Cahersiveen/Killarney.
 
Gardaí responding to the incident intercepted a 03 D navy blue Mazda car. This vehicle was pursued and ultimately crashed in the Beaufort area of Killarney. Two men were arrested and detained at Killarney and Tralee Garda stations under Section 30 of The Offences Against the State Act, 1939.

A woman, late 20’s, arrested on Thursday 4th August 2016 in connection with this investigation remains in Garda custody, detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939 as amended, at Killarney Garda Station.
