Gardaí investigating an alleged assault which occurred at Lower Oliver Plunkett Street, Cork City on Thursday 10th September 2015 shortly after 2pm are appealing for witnesses.
A man, 37 years, was treated at the scene for his injuries and was then brought to Mercy University Hospital Cork following the incident. The man passed away in hospital yesterday, 15th September 2015. A post mortem is being carried out this afternoon, Wednesday 16th September by the Assistant State Pathologist. The results of which will determine the direction of this investigation.
