Update - Witness appeal - Serious Assault on Cows Lane, Dublin on the 10/9/15

Gardai investigating a serious assault that occurred on Cows Lane on the 10th of September can confirm that the male in his 20’s who was brought to St James Hospital has been pronounced dead this evening.

A post mortem will take place in due course (no details at this point). The four males that were arrested in relation to this investigation remain in custody.

 
Investigating Gardai wish to renew their appeal to any persons who may have witnessed the incident or were in the vicinity of Cows Lane between 8.30p.m. and 9 p.m., or it is believed that some witnesses took images of this incident at it occurred and Gardai are appealing to all persons to contact them at Pearse Street Garda Station at 01 - 6669000, The Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

Gardai in Pearse Street are investigating a serious assault that occured at Cows Lane, Temple Bar at approximately 8.45p.m. yesterday evening Thursday, the 10th September 2015.

One man (mid 20's) was assaulted and taken to St. James Hospital and it is believed he is in a serious condition.

Three men (mid 20's) were arrested at the scene and are all currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at Pearse Street and Irishtown Garda Stations.

Investigating Gardai are appealing for any persons who may have witnessed the incident or were in the vicinity of Cows Lane between 8.30p.m. and 9 p.m., or it is believed that some witnesses took images of this incident at it occured and Gardai are appealing to all persons to contact them at Pearse Street Garda Station at 01 - 6669000, The Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
