The four males arrested as part of this investigation have been released without charge. A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
A post-mortem examination will be carried out later today by the State Pathologist, Dr. Cassidy, at Dublin City Morgue.

Gardai investigating a serious assault that occurred on Cows Lane on the 10th of September can confirm that the male in his 20’s who was brought to St James Hospital has been pronounced dead this evening.
A post mortem will take place in due course (no details at this point). The four males that were arrested in relation to this investigation remain in custody.

Gardai in Pearse Street are investigating a serious assault that occured at Cows Lane, Temple Bar at approximately 8.45p.m. yesterday evening Thursday, the 10th September 2015.
One man (mid 20's) was assaulted and taken to St. James Hospital and it is believed he is in a serious condition.
Three men (mid 20's) were arrested at the scene and are all currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at Pearse Street and Irishtown Garda Stations.
