Fatal traffic collision on the N11, Wicklow on the 12/9/15

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Co. Wicklow on the 12th September 2015.

At approximately 10.25pm a 31-year-old male pedestrian was fatally injured when he was struck by a car on the M11 at Roscath, Co. Wicklow, (south of Wicklow town). He was pronounced dead at the scene. The local Coroner was notified and the man’s body was removed to the mortuary at Loughlinstown Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
 

Diversions are in place on the southbound carriageway of the M11 between Junctions 18 (Wicklow South) and 19 (Brittas bay). Northbound traffic is unaffected. The scene is preserved and Garda Forensic collision investigators have been notified to attend.
