Gardaí in Mullingar are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision on the 13th of September 2015.
At approximately 11.20am a male aged in his 20's was seriously injured when his motorcycle left the road and stuck a barrier. The collision occurred at Heathstown, Coralstown, east of Mullingar town on the old N4. He was taken by ambulance to Mullingar Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Garda Forensic Collision Investigators are currently examining the scene. The road is closed and local traffic diversions are in place. The local Coroner has been notified.
