Drug seizure and arrest in Carlow town on the 1/9/15

Gardaí have arrested a man and seized a quantity of drugs in a planned operation in Carlow town on Tuesday, the 1st September 2015.

Shortly before 11am Gardai searched the house at Barrowvale in Carlow. One man in his 40's was arrested and a second man, in his 30's, was taken to hospital with chest injuries.

During the course of the search Gardaí discovered cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €80,000.

The arrested man is detained at Carlow Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 and is expected to appear at Carlow District Court later this morning, the 2nd September.
