Witness appeal - Aggravated Burglary in Templeogue, Dublin on the 5/10/15

Gardaí investigating an aggravated burglary which occurred in the Osprey/Orwell area, Templeogue, Dublin 6 on Monday 5th October 2015 at approximately 11.20am are seeking the public's assistance.

At approximately 11.20am yesterday, Monday 5th October 2015 a man gained entry to a house in the Osprey area of Templeogue. The house was occupied by a young woman at the time. This woman was assaulted during the incident.


The scene was preserved and technically examined. An incident room has been established at Terenure Garda Station and house to house enquiries are being carried out.

The suspected offender is described as being male, aged between 40–50 years, of average height with short hair. He has a very thin face, pock marked complexion and pale skin. He was clean shaven. This man spoke with an Irish accent. He was wearing black clothing and possibly a sleevless jacket. He also wore a dark coloured baseball cap and dark sunglasses throughout the incident.

The man received a number of scratches to his face during the incident and a cut to his right index finger. These wounds should still be fresh.
