Man charged - murder of Kevin Molloy on the 1/2/15

Gardaí at Cabra have charged a man, 22 years, in connection with the murder of Mr. Kevin Molloy.

The man was arrested in the Dublin area this morning and is due to appear before District Court 1, Criminal Courts of Justice this afternoon, Wednesday 7th October 2015 at 2pm. He remains in Garda custody.
 

On 1st February 2015 Mr. Molloy’s body was discovered in a house on Glendhu Road, Cabra, Dublin 7.

Gardaí in Cabra are investigating the murder of a man, early 40's, following the discovery of his body yesterday afternoon, Sunday 1st February 2015 in a house on Glendhu Road, Cabra, Dublin 7.

The body has not yet been formally identified. DNA tests are being carried out and the results of same are expected tomorrow, 3rd February 2015 at which stage a further appeal will be made. Time of death not yet established.

The scene at the house remains preserved for technical examination. A post mortem was carried out earlier today, 2nd February 2015 at Dublin City Morgue by the State Pathologist, Professor Marie Cassidy, the results of which are not being disclosed for operational purposes. Further tests are ongoing in connection with the post mortem. An incident room has been established at Cabra Garda Station.

Gardai in Cabra are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body of a male in his 40's in a house on Glendhu Rd, Cabra on the 1st Feb 2015. His body was discovered there this afternoon and was pronounced dead at the scene. His body remains at the scene.


The Office of the State Pathologist has been contacted and the area has been sealed off for a Technical Examination which will continue tomorrow the 2nd February.
