Three men to appear before Special Criminal Court 2nd November 2015

Three men, aged in their mid 20’s to late 30’s are due to appear before the Special Criminal Court, Criminal Courts of Justice tomorrow morning, Monday 2nd November 2015 at 10am where they will be charged.

The three men were arrested by members of An Garda Síochána attached to the Special Detective Unit, investigating dissident republican activity, at Kyletaun, Rathkeale, County Limerick on Saturday morning 31st October 2015 shortly before 2am. Members of the Emergency Response Unit assisted in the arrests. The three men were detained at Henry Street Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939 as amended.

Two cars, , one believed to be subject of an unauthorised taking, were stopped and searched by Gardaí and a firearm and ammunition, subject to ballistic examination, were discovered and seized.

 
The men remain in Garda custody.
