Court Appearance – Christopher Nevin Murder Investigation

Two men in their 20s are due to appear at a sitting of Navan District Court at 10.30 am today, 25th November 2015.

Gardaí arrested the men as part of an investigation into the death of Christopher Nevin, who died following an incident in Navan on 19th November 2015.

 
The men were arrested on 23rd in the Navan area and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Navan Garda Station.

Gardaí have arrested two males as part of an investigation into the murder of Christopher Nevin who died following an incident in Navan on the 19th November 2015.

Both males, who are aged in their early 20's, were arrested this evening (23/11/2015) in the Navan area. They are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Navan Garda Station.

Gardai in Navan, Co Meath investigating a serious assault which occurred on the 19th November 2015 in Navan can confirm that the 27 year old male has died this afternoon the 20th November.

A post mortem will take place at the mortuary at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda tomorrow, the 21st November 2015. The name of the deceased is Christopher Nevin.

The incident occurred at approx 2.15pm on the 19th November at Tailtean Rd, Winetown, Navan. Christopher Nevin was seriously injured in an altercation with a number of other males. The males got into a silver car which drove off in the direction of the town centre. Christopher was taken by ambulance to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda.

A scene has been preserved at Tailteann Road, Navan.

Gardai in Navan are appealing for witnesses, anyone who was on the Tailtean Road or in the vicinity of Winetown between 1.50pm and 2.30pm on the 19th November or anyone who may have any information to contact them on 046 9079930, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
