Fatal road traffic collision in Kingscourt, Meath on the 23/3/15

Gardai in Navan are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred in Dunheeda, Kingscourt, Co. Meath on the 23rd March 2015.

The collision occurred at approximately 12.30am on the Kingscourt to Drumcondrath Road (2.5 km outside Kingscourt). The car collided with a tree and the male (25 years) who was seriously injured was taken by ambulance to Navan Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. A post mortem is expected to take place later today the 23rd March 2015.

The road is currently closed to facilitate a Forensic Collision examination and diversions are in place.
