Attempted robbery in Clondalkin, Dublin on the 12/3/15

Gardai in Clondalkin are investigating an attempted robbery at a shop on Castle Crescent, Clondalkin Dublin 22 on the 12th March 2015.

At approximately 3pm a male wearing a balaclava armed with a knife entered the shop, threatened staff and demanded money. An altercation ensued in the shop with one of the staff members. The staff member received an injury to his hand. Gardai arrived on the scene and arrested the male (32 years) he was conveyed to Clondalkin Garda Sation and detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended.

He was charged and will appear before Blanchardstown District Court No 1 at 10.30am this morning, the 13th March 2015.

The injured male staff member (57 year) was treated by a local doctor.
