Drugs seizure and arrests at Rosslare Port, Wexford on the 1/7/15

As part of a joint operation into the illegal sale and supply of controlled drugs in the South Eastern Region Gardaí and Officers from Revenue Customs Services have seized cannabis herb and resin with an estimated value of €185,000, pending analysis.

 
The seizure occurred at Rosslare Port, County Wexford this morning, Wednesday 1st July 2015 at approximately 11.30am following the search of a vehicle.
 

Four men, ranging in age from late 30's to early 60's, were arrested at scene. They are currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Traffickig) Act, 1996 at Wexford and Enniscorthy Garda Stations.

 
These operations use advanced analytical and intelligence methods to disrupt criminals and dismantle their networks. Drug seizures play a critical role in targeting the livelihood of criminals and reducing their ability to carry out illegal activities. Drug seizures also help protect communities from the devastating impact of drugs and the associated criminality.
