Drugs Seizure Tallaght 10th July 2015 / Three man arrested

As part of an intelligence led operation targeting drug traffickers in the greater Dublin Region, Gardaí attached to the Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau arrested 3 males following the interception of a vehicle on the Ballymount Road, Tallaght, Dublin 24 yesterday evening (10/7/15) at approximately 6.15pm.

A large quantity of  cocaine  was seized in this vehicle and during a follow up search in the Tallaght area, further quantities of cocaine and cannabis herb  were recovered with a total estimated street value of €150,000. Three males aged 34, 32 and 18 remain in custody at Tallaght Garda station under the provisions of Section 2- Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.   
 
These operations use advanced analytical and intelligence methods to disrupt criminals and dismantle their networks. Drug seizures play a critical role in targeting the livelihood of criminals and reducing their ability to carry out illegal activities. Drug seizures also help protect communities from the devastating impact of drugs and the associated criminality.
