Gardai in Bandon are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occured in Coppeen East, Enniskeane, Co. Cork this morning, Wednesday 21st January, 2015.
The collision occurred at approximately 9a.m. when two cars collided. The female driver (early 40's) of the first car was pronounced dead at scene and her body was removed to the morgue in Cork University Hospital. The male driver (late 50's) of the second car was taken to Bantry Hospital for minor injuries.
The road was closed to facilitate a forensic collision examination and has now reopened.
