As a result of ongoing operations into the activities of criminals who were involved in robberies and burglaries in the Dublin Metropolitan Eastern Region two people have been arrested.
At 7 a.m. this morning, Friday 30th January 2015 Gardai from the Divisional Burglary Response Unit, District Detective Units and District Drugs Units searched a number of locations in Dun Laoghaire, Booterstown and Blackrock. During the course of these searches a man and woman, both in their 20's, were arrested for robbery and outstanding Bench Warrants, the man is currently being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 in Blackrock Gardai Station. The woman will appear before District Court Number 4, of the Criminal Courts of Justice this morning.
During the course the these searches a large quantity of jewellery, computer parts, electrical tools, garden tools and weapons, including pepper spray and machetes, were recovered.
Investigations are ongoing.
