Gardaí in Dunshauglin are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Moyleggan, Batterstown, County Meath this afternoon Wednesday 11th February 2015 .
The collision between a truck and a car occurred at approximately 4pm on the R147 between Batterstown and the Fairyhouse roundabout. The female driver of the car, aged in her early 20's was fatally injured in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene. She was the sole occupant of the car. Her body has been removed to the morgue at Navan. The truck driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to Navan hospital. He was the sole occupant of the truck.
The road is currently closed to facilitate a Garda forensic collision examination.
